Do you have what it takes to join in on the annual Dubai Crossfit Championship? Crossfit – in case you’re not in the know – is a combination of specific functional movements which combine elements of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. It’s a regime that’s gone viral, with more Crossfit gyms in the world than branches of Starbucks.
The Dubai Crossfit Championship is the first Crossfit,Inc-sanctioned event in the world rewarding the first place male, female and team competitors with qualification to the 2019 Reebok Crossfit Games. And that’s not all – with US$616,000 total prize money up for grabs, there’s plenty of incentive to get fit. To qualify for the sixth annual championship finals, athletes must must complete three online qualifier workouts over three weeks in October. The finals will host the top 37 male and 37 female athletes and 10 teams which successfully complete the online qualifier. The contest is open to athletes from all over the world, and attracts global fitness industry and media attention.
